The tournament is organized by Mallorca Football Events.
The games take place at the Santa Ponça Sports Complex in Santa Ponça, Mallorca. Address: Carrer Riu Sil, s/n, 07180 Santa Ponça.
All matches are played in accordance with the K.N.V.B. walking football rules and regulations, but executed in a customized tournament format. The customized Mallorca tournament walking football rules are leading!
Walking football follows the same rules as regular football with several key exceptions: no running, no sliding tackles, and no goalkeepers.
The game is played as a 6-a-side format without goalkeepers on a pitch measuring approximately 42 by 21 meters. Goals are 3 meters wide and 1 meter high.
Substitutions are unlimited but can only be made when the ball is not in play.
Substitutes must enter at the center line.
The game should preferably be played with a size 5 football, weighing approximately 3320 grams.
Only walking is allowed, even when the ball is near. One foot must always remain in contact with the ground.
The ball must not be played above head height.
There is no offside rule.
Physical contact and sliding tackles are strictly prohibited.
All free kicks are indirect. A free kick can be taken with a pass or a dribble (from a 3-meter distance).
If the ball goes out of play, it is placed back where it left the pitch and brought into play by a kick (3 meters distance). The player can pass or dribble the ball back into play.
If a player starts running, an indirect free kick is awarded at the location where the run began. The same rule applies to physical contact and sliding tackles.
If the ball is played above head height, the team that last touched it concedes an indirect free kick at that position.
A penalty is awarded if a clear goal-scoring opportunity is unfairly prevented. The penalty is taken from the penalty mark with an empty goal.
The tournament is officiated by K.N.V.B. and international referees.
All referee decisions are final. Protests are not allowed.
The tournament is open to both men and women and is divided into the following categories:
Referees and officials may request ID verification to confirm a player’s age. Every participant must bring their ID or a copy during matches.
If a player cannot provide proof of age, the referee may exclude them until proof is presented.
Teams fielding younger players than allowed will be disqualified from the tournament.
If this happens in the knockout phase or semifinals:
Each team must have at least 8 players. There is no maximum team size.
Switching players between teams in the same category is prohibited.
The match schedule follows the program booklet.
Teams must arrive 5 minutes before kickoff. Failure to appear results in a 0-3 loss and no points awarded.
A team that wins due to an opponent’s absence is granted a 3-goal advantage.
Teams withdrawing from the tournament lose all matches 0-3.
Unless the referee decides otherwise, injuries must be handled off the pitch.
The first team listed on the match form plays from the left side (beachside) and has the kickoff.
The home team must change shirts if both teams have similar kits. Tournament vests in multiple colors are available if needed.
All teams must have a second set of shirts in a different color from their primary kit.
Pitches are artificial grass. Players should wear futsal (indoor soccer) shoes or special AstroTurf boots.
Changing rooms are available at the pitch. Players may also prepare in their hotel rooms between games.
The tournament starts with a **Preliminary Round** on Friday or Saturday. The **Final Round** takes place on Sunday.
Match times follow the official tournament schedule but may change with prior notice.
The **Preliminary Round** consists of group-stage matches.
Goal difference determines standings if teams are tied. If still tied, goals scored will be the next tiebreaker.
If needed, penalties will be taken at an empty goal from the center line.
In case of continued ties, penalties proceed in sudden death format.
Protesting is not allowed. All referee decisions are final.
Referees, coaches, and captains must sign the score sheet at the jury table immediately after each match.
