Match rules 7-a-side 2025


1. Tournament Organization

The tournament is organized by Mallorca Football Events.

The games take place at the Santa Ponça Sports Complex in Santa Ponça, Mallorca. Address: Carrer Riu Sil, s/n, 07180 Santa Ponça.

2. Match Rules

All matches are played according to FIFA futsal rules but follow a customized tournament format. The customized Mallorca tournament futsal rules take precedence.

Matches are officiated by international referees in cooperation with the tournament’s management.

3. Team Regulations

Teams in the 7-a-side tournament are divided into two categories: men and women. There are no age restrictions.

Players are not allowed to switch between teams during the 7-a-side tournament, even if two or more teams share the same team name. Teams will be monitored, and violations will result in disqualification.

4. Equipment and Attire

The first mentioned team (home team) must change shirts if both teams have similar colors. Tournament vests in different colors will be provided if needed.

All teams must have an additional set of shirts in a different color from their primary kit.

The pitches have artificial grass. Players should wear futsal (indoor soccer) shoes or specialized AstroTurf football shoes.

5. Facilities

Changing rooms are available at the pitches. Players may also prepare in their hotel rooms between games.

6. Registration and Tournament Dates

The team representative must report to the organization headquarters 30 minutes before the scheduled first match and submit the player list.

8-12 May 2025: Mallorca 7-a-side Football Tournament, open to amateur teams, associated and non-associated teams, corporate teams, futsal/indoor soccer teams.

7. Match Regulations

The team listed first on the match schedule will start on the left side of the pitch (beachside) and will have the kickoff, directed by the referee.

Matches follow the tournament schedule, with no halftime interval.

Sunday’s knockout matches and finals follow the same format, with no halftime breaks.

Each match is played by two teams, consisting of 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper (goalkeeper wears a different-colored shirt).

8. Substitutions

Substitutions are unlimited. The substitute must enter the field at their substitution zone only after the exiting player has crossed the touchline.

The substitution zone is located on the same side as the team benches.

9. Match Attendance

Teams must be present 5 minutes before kickoff. A team failing to appear loses 0-3 and receives no points. The winning team gets 3 additional goals.

If a team withdraws from the tournament, all its matches are recorded as 0-3 losses.

10. Discipline and Fair Play

Every team must have a coach present.

Yellow Card: The player must leave the field for 1 minute. If the opposing team scores, they may return immediately.

Red Card: The player is out for the match. The team plays with one fewer player for 3 minutes, after which a substitute may enter.

Protests are not allowed. The tournament management’s decisions are final.

11. Match Reporting

After each match, the referee and team captains must report to the jury table to sign the score sheet.

12. Liability and Conduct

The organization is not responsible for damages, injuries, or theft of personal belongings.

If a knockout match ends in a tie, a penalty shootout will decide the winner.

Each team takes three penalties. If tied, penalties continue until one team leads by a goal.

16. Prohibited Actions

Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited on the pitch. The use of glass is also forbidden.

17. Player Conduct

Players are responsible for their behavior and any damage caused.

Only players and coaches are allowed on the field.

Non-playing players should remain in the stands or designated areas.

18. Final Decisions

For any unmentioned rules, tournament management has the final decision.

All participants must ensure they have medical insurance covering injuries during the tournament.
