The tournament is organized by Mallorca Football Events.
The games are organized on the premises of Santa Ponça sport complex in Santa Ponça on the island of Mallorca. Address: Carrer Riu Sil, s/n, 07180 Santa Ponça.
All matches are played according to the FIFA Futsal rules and regulations but executed in a customized tournament format. The customized Mallorca tournament futsal rules are leading!
Matches are led by international referees in cooperation with the tournament’s management.
Teams are divided into categories & groups.
It’s prohibited to switch players from one team to another team playing in the same tournament/competition.
When two teams play under the same team name, it is not possible to let any players switch from team to team. These teams will be monitored at every game.
The first mentioned team (home team) has to change shirts if both outfits are the same color. Tournament vests in several colors are available for any team should this situation occur.
Every team must be equipped with a second set of shirts, which are different from the colors of the original club outfit.
The pitches are artificial grass. Players are advised to wear regular futsal (indoor soccer) shoes or special Astro turf football shoes.
There are changing rooms at the pitches; teams are welcome to use them. Players are also allowed to prepare themselves in the hotel rooms between games.
The team’s representative reports to the organization headquarters 30 minutes before the scheduled first match and must submit their list of players.

May8-12 May & 15-19 May 2025: Mallorca 5-a-side Football Tournament opens for amateur teams, company teams, futsal teams, and indoor soccer teams.
The team whose name is listed first on the match form will start on the left side of the pitch (seen from the beach side) and will have the kick-off. The referee will direct the kick-off moment.
Match duration follows the tournament schedule, with no half-time interval. Knock-out matches on Sunday follow the tournament schedule (no half-time interval). The final matches on Sunday also have no half-time interval.
A match is played by two teams, each consisting of 4 fielders and 1 goalkeeper (goalkeeper wears a different color shirt).
The number of substitutions during a match is unlimited. The player entering the pitch must do so at his own substitution zone, but only after the player leaving the pitch has completely crossed the touchline.
The substitution zone is on the same side of the pitch as the teams’ benches.
35+ Tournament: All players must be at least 35 years old. Teams may have up to 2 players younger than 35, but they must be at least 30 years old.
45+ Tournament: All players must be at least 45 years old. Teams may have up to 2 players younger than 45, but they must be at least 40 years old.
55+ Tournament: All players must be at least 55 years old. Teams may have up to 2 players younger than 55, but they must be at least 50 years old.
Referees and tournament officials may ask players for their ID to verify their age. All players in veteran competitions must carry their ID or a copy during matches.
If a player cannot prove his age, the referee has the right to exclude him until proof is provided.
Players cannot switch teams in the same age category. If a team fields younger players than allowed, it will be disqualified.
If this happens in the knock-out stage or semifinals:
Teams must be present 5 minutes before kick-off. If a team fails to show up, they lose 0-3 and receive no points. The opponent gets 3 goals added to their total score.
If a team withdraws from the tournament, all their matches will be counted as 0-3 losses, including those already played.
All teams must have a coach present.
Yellow Card: The player must leave the pitch for 1 minute. If the opponent scores during this time, the player can re-enter.
Red Card: The player must leave for the rest of the match. The team plays with one player less for 3 minutes, after which another player can enter.
Protesting is not permitted. The tournament management’s decisions are final.
After each match, the referee and both coaches/team captains must report to the jury table to sign the score sheet. This must be done immediately after the match to confirm the result.
The organization is not responsible for damages, injuries, or theft of any personal belongings of players, spectators, or companions.
Teams must report to the tournament’s sports headquarters before leaving each day.
If teams have the same score in the group phase, ranking will be decided by:
In case of a tie in knockout rounds, teams take three penalties each. If still tied, penalties continue until one team leads by one goal.
The tournament’s management will provide necessary materials (matches will be played with Futsal balls).
Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited on the pitches. The use of glass is also forbidden.
All players are responsible for their behavior and any damages they cause.
Only players and coaches are allowed on the field.
Players not participating should remain in the stands or sports arena’s restaurant.
For any rules not mentioned, the tournament’s sportive management has the final decision.
Participants must ensure they have medical insurance covering any injuries during the tournament.
